genetic engineering: yes
Posted by tashas on 01-06-2008 in Genetic EngineeringGenetic engineering can be very beneficial, especially in those plants that have a significant role in a person's everyday diet. This can definitely be useful, especially with so many health conscious people, in ensuring daily health requirements in one's diet, like genetically altering rice plants. In addition, genetic engineering provides the opportunity for cool new ideas (like banana vaccines) to be tested and keeps science moving forward, since there are so many different methods and uses for genetic engineering. However, eventually I think there needs to be a limit or a guideline to show when a certain test has become excessive, especially while dealing with animals.
