I agree with you, Neeraja. It is certainly a duty of parents, and not of governments. I was going to say that in my previous post, but it slipped my mind. I think the problem with allowing censorship is that it can cause parents to be lazy in parenting their child. At least, that is one problem, as I see it. "Oh, I don't have to tell my child not to do certain things now, because the TV will do it for me." Not only that, but it's just one more power that a government would have... the ability to censor things at will. I also believe that censorship can cause an intolerant society. Which, in some cases can be good, and many cases could be bad. Censorship is a tyrannical concept, it was used by every dictator one could think of. It has no place in a free, democratic society. Not only that, but can anyone see the double standards involved in censorship? Black people can say the "N-word," but other possibly offensive words cannot be said. Not that I find these offensive... I have no problem with swear words. And I have no problem with black people calling eachother the "N-word." Censorship is bad, and we already have it. But Clinton wants to censor video games? rofl. Come on, that is the most ridiculous thing. Are parents going to be letting their 7 year old play GTA? If they do, then obviously they aren't being a good parent.
