Posted by Fariz on 01-26-2008 in Myspace vs. FacebookThe custom overlays and such are what kill MySpace for me, it destroys any navigational sense and makes it impossible to know what's going on. On top of that I never know who my friends are and who's not on myspace because it makes it so hard to search through them and actually find them. For them Facebook is not only easier to use, but a lot friendlier because I can actually find my friends.

Well i have had my Myspace for about a year and a half now and my facebook for only about 3 weeks. I love Myspace for the fact that i don't have to be like everyone els. i create custom div overlays for it so that it looks unlike anyone else's. But when people cram their pages with SOOO many pictures flash widgets it slows everything down. The alert system on myspace i think personally it better than on facebook just for the simple fact that it draws your eye to it so that you KNOW not just a happen to glance in the corner to see a tiny little notifaction. Now facebook goes with out customization and individuality and just has everything looking the same witch i guess if a good thing. But cant they do liek netlog ( Facebox) does have set themes to choose from so that you can have SOME semblance of color and im different even just changing colors. The applications are slow i have just a few on my page it slows it down. Then you get the people with over 100 of them then they are all extended you spend an hour trying to find what you went to look for. I mean i guess Myspace is for friends and Facebook is for business/networking thats what it all comes down to with the user friendliness and such. But i guess thats me.
