Hi,

Yes we are aware of the birthdate issue, expect a fix very soon.

We're still deciding about the avatar, we had decided early we wanted perfect squares. We're looking into methods of dealing with users who have small ones.

You make a fair point with settings, we'll work on the UI concept with that. Thanks.

I would think adding a friend is rather obvious, it's right below their username. Obviously you have to be logged in to commit that action. Is it difficult to find?

We reveal only a link to your profile on that network at this time. No other data is used at this point. We will maintain privacy issues if we do play with something in the future. We'll be sure to incorporate that.

New to the site, joined yesterday. But here are the first few things I've noticed:

* I can't change my birthdate. I wasn't born in 1999...
* My (standard 64x64) avatar was both horizontally and vertically stretched on my home page. This causes pixelation, but I can live with that. Worse, it breaks the aspect ratio of the image, stretching it horizontally.
* If I "edit settings" for my profile, it's not obvious that I need to click on "Update" prior to switching tabs. If you're going to use the tabbed-window metaphor, settings should be persistent across tab switches, and the Update button should save the settings for all of the tabs simultaneously.
* Knowing the username of another OQ member, I haven't yet found how to add them as a friend.

Also, I'm extremely hesitant to add my presence on other social networks until I know what kind of information that will reveal. Heck, I don't even know how much of my profile is visible to other users, and how much is just use to amass statistical data.
