US is standing against Iran's peaceful Nuclear Program which is been watched by the IAEA watchdogs & they term it as a peaceful. Even the NIE of US says tht the prog is peaceful. Still the US is raising the voice of UNSC sanctions on Iran. Is this stand justified?

I think the reason behind the whole thing is fear. The leaders in the U.S. want people to be afraid and they want them to be afraid of something that could help them gain their goals. Iran is a logical target since their leadership is very vocal about their distaste of America. So if you want to get people afraid and allow this will give them the same justifcation that they used for Iraq to allow them to invade Iran. I think at this point in time Bush realized that they just were not going to be able to go into Iran by the end of his presidency and that's why he allowed this little Iran doesn't have nukes thing to get out. So in the end I just feel that the U.S. current leaders wanted to invade Iran, would use the nuke excuse to justify the attack, and from there create a new democracy that was more American.

Reply to post

The IAEA watchdog had announced N number of times that the civil Nuclear program which Iran is developing for the purpose of generating Electrical energy is safe and not aiming to creation of Nuclear bomb in any case. Even The Nation Estimate Egency (NIE) of US has also reported in thier year long spy report that Iran has halted its Nuclear Program long back in 2003, but still the Bush Administration doesnt seem to leave its fake stand over this issue.

What is the main reason behind this stand? Is US worrying about lost of its leadership in the world or something else??

Reply to post
