I think at the beginning of her response to the question she was actually being sincere. But by the end of her comments you can tell she was starting to see it as a political move and tried to make the most of the moment.

Take it in context though, this hasn't been an easy campaign for Clinton. It's seemed like a struggle from the moment she announced she wanted to run, and then to lose the first primary. I think anyone in that position would be a little emotionally unstable. Just because she slipped and couldn't keep emotions in check doesn't mean we should attack her about it, or flaunt it all over the media. In the end, it shouldn't be taken into account when going to the voting polls.

I definitely agree, it's a gimmick. We need a President that can be stable and not just win over the media.

neutral

it made me like her more as a person, less as a politician. it made her seem less like a robot-- that she could be touched by simple things, which appeals to my sentimentality. on the other hand, as sexist? as it seems, i dont want my president to cry for any reason, it would make me panic.

Gimmick

Though I may be a bit biased at this moment because I absolutely have no liking for Hil-Dog, I have to say that her bullcrap tears were just that, a gimmick. The act is very immature with the state at which the nation was in (Pro Obama) and appealled greatly to the numerous artards within the nation who will sympathize at a fallen tree (liberal and Green party jokes aside). It was unjustified and in my mind useless at the current spot in primaries. In many ways it reminds me of the young girl in the family who curls in the corner and cries when her brothers are being to "rough", when in actuality, they are merely poking her.
