The group also did this to showcase how easy it is to broadcast your own footage on various stations.
No one seems to care that a group of artists broke into this station...

Okay what in the world were these people thinking? Do they honestly think that there are people out there that believe that the use of nuclear weapons is like this good thing that we ought to do so we need to scare them? The only real purpose this could even possibly have is to instill fear into people to make them think that nuclear warfare is far more likely to occur that it really is. These sorts of things are totally out of line, and show just what's wrong with the world today. As a piece of art work or whatever it seems cool, but that's the sort of thing that needs to be saved for tv shows, not the news were guillible people might take it for fact.

Replied to: "Miniature" ...
I think it's hilarious, and artistic, but I don't believe the evening news is the best place to debut it. In this day and age where the nuclear threat is no longer one of harsh words, but one where unstable rouge countries now possess the ability to destroy entire populations with the push of a button, scaring the masses on such a scale is stupid. They should have debuted it somewhere, anywhere else, but not somewhere where the viewers are looking for the "truth".

Narcoleptic weather show enlivened by a fake nuclear blast . Artists arrested. "Miniature" audience remains lethargic. Apparently art has no power to change the world, only to amuse it -- briefly.
