Offensive? Only if you're Che Guevara.

I can't see how the Che image with a pig face is offensive to anyone except for Che and the goons who still cling to the image of him as a saintly defender of "the people."

Che was a murderous and ruthless killer who, thankfully, had a mostly impotent career with the exception of the Cuban revolution which was already in motion before he joined. I find a certain satisfaction in the proliferation of his image contorted into mockeries or, even better, sold to millions. I can think of no better or more fitting eulogy for the communist warrior than having his face printed on t-shirts, mugs, etc., and sold to trendy hipsters for $25.

Yes, it's offensive

Hitler has appeared in the Simpsons as well... Appearances of Guevara, Hitler, Stalin, etc. are funny when it's in a show like the Simpsons or Family Guy, but they are not fit for a site like this.

Che Guevara was a communist and mass murderer. I can handle it if just a handful of people have the Guevara avatar, but when it's used as the default avatar, it gives me the impression that Che Guevara is the mascot of Outquib, and that doesn't sit well with me. As a firm believer in democracy, capitalism, and human life, it is insulting to me.

Guevara ordered hundreds, and maybe thousands, of men to be killed without any kind of trial or due process of law. Ironically, the same fate happened to him in the end, but that does not erase any of the murders he was responsible for, and it certainly doesn't make him a hero.

"To send men to the firing squad, judicial proof is unnecessary...These procedures are an archaic bourgeois detail. This is a revolution! And a revolutionary must become a cold killing machine motivated by pure hate." -Che Guevara

broken dreams

how can the pig be offensive? i think it's hilarious! afterall, che has even appeared in the simpsons....VIVA el Duff! what's sad is to think that che is a hero to so many... i looked up to him too.. then you hear stories from the old cuban immigrants and they tell you how unfair he was and the atrocities committed... and here i am.. a rebel without a clue and a lost speck of dust floating in a vacuum of heroes.. who do we look up to when they're all buried underground?

OK, I'll add a "No- if anything it mocks extremists" answer.

Flamebait... isn't that the whole point of this site???

Leading debate answers.

Sure, I think Che is pretty extreme, but I would think that any thing--i.e. the Family Guy's Peter remade into a Che-shirt--would mock the extremism that Che represents, not promote it.

That and the debate answers are pretty despicable. There should be a different responce than 'No, I'm a communist' for a negative responce. Talk about flame bait for someone who thinks they just look funny and mock the significance of the basis of the shirt.

I can't stand Che t-shirts!

Or anything closely resembling that jag-off. I hope it's a joke.

"Hatred as an element of struggle; unbending hatred for the enemy, which pushes a human being beyond his natural limitations, making him into an effective, violent, selective, and cold-blooded killing machine. This is what our soldiers must become …" -Che Guevera
