If the trade happens, I think the Western Conference should make its own league.
However, looks like the trade is done for now. Stackhouse's big mouth got him once again.
Scary thought, though. J-Kidd back on the mavs now with Dirk, Terry, and Howard.
ouch.

In an attempt to keep up with the Suns and Lakers it appears that the Mavs will get Jason Kidd on their team. However this might end up being a poor choice, I'm not sure if giving up probably their best post defender (Diop) when the Lakers and Suns both got big time post players is the best choice. Furthermore they lost depth by giving up George and Stackhouse, which could hurt them against the deep west. Finally I'm not really sure if Kidd is that much of an improvment over Harris in the pg department. Kidd has not been shooting well, at 36%, a carrer low, and the advantages of Kidd, which come in the assiet and rebounding department, will not be as big as might be thought. When it comes to the assits Dirk will have the ball in his hand a lot of the time which will take away from Kidd's abillity to get assits, and the fact that the mavs actually have rebounders will take away those from him. After this year it gets even worse for the mavs since Kidd is pretty old, and is not going to get better, while Harris is just on his way back up, in addition to the cap space, and draft picks they will be getting. The mavs reaction was just too much, and this will go down as a mistake, assuming it goes down. But what does everyone else think?
