Which is less evil? (Facebook, Myspace, Other)

Myspace to me, is useless. I used to keep my account because 'some of my friends only had Myspace' but I finally broke down and deleted just because it was useless except for all the spam I received. I think that Facebook is a much better social networking utility and you can easily find people that you went to school with, or friends of friends, etc.

It's much easier to use and can provide a lot more to its users than Myspace. It's nice to be able to look at people's pages without background and photos taking forever to load and music blaring through my speakers.

Although, my major complaint about Facebook is the amount of useless applications. I wish there was some sort of option where I could look at someone's page without having to load the applications as well. Some of them ARE actually useful, but most are not.

In past three months, I got much friend requests from Myspace, all of them is about sex. I am so annoyed about this.

I love facebook and made it in my control. I only use the useful apps like catster, last.fm, 43things, upcoming, librarything.... If my friends invited me to use the other annoyed apps, I will ignore them at once.

I use it primarily for my school-related contacts, about 90% of the kids from the colleges I've been to are on there and about 50% of the ones from my HS. It's useful not only for networking but also professional reasons.

I just think the app system on Facebook has gotten way out of hand. There HAS to be something done, even if it's only a "Deny All" option.
