I own a 30 giga-byte Zune and I absolutly dislike the Zune the chunkiness of it distubures me deeply I enjoy the sounfd quality the FM radio podcasts and Videos (Sadly it can't use movies) So this is very difficult to put in your back pocket!

ipod is very over priced in my opinion and does not have the compatabiliy with windows that i would like. it is made by apple so it is not logical to think that is will be 100% compatable with a windows operating system but most itune applications do work but have effects on the computers overall processor speed later. the majority of ipod owners have windows based desktops or laptops so why buy the overpriced 4gb ipod when you could get a 30 gb Zune for the same price or maybe a little bit more. plus not all ipods are video compatable and i know that not all people want that but it is a nice bonus. the itouch's only real cool feature is the touch screen but for the price you pay i would want a bit more out of it. the social feature on the zune is also very handy for sending pictures and music and video to friends wirelessly. but one of the biggest differences is the standard 2 inch by 4 inch screen which is very nice to watch video on and is much easier to see what your looking for comared to the i pods small screen wonders. Over all i would say that Zune gives you much more bang for your buck.

I have also had both items so hopefully I can give a decent review. This is largely dependent on the generation builds and models.
My experience with the iPod and seeing my friends' experiences with it is a really poor quality product made by the gods in Cupertino where Apple resides. My iPod, with great fortune, broke 10-20 days after the 1 year warranty just expired so obviously this was amazing. If your iPod is even moderately breaking apart before your warranty is up, I suggest you slame it against a wall and tell Apple their product works.
Soon after I purchased a Zune around the Christmas season and it has yet to fail on me. However the software the Zune requires is less than desirably. It's way to bloated and has too much shit going on. After you get over that hurdle the Zune is an awesome product, I highly recommend it. The Zune's screen doesn't get scratched as easily as an iPod and really does the job of playing music well. Not to mention, it had a firmware update recently and can now wirelessly sync to your computer if you have wireless in your house which is very cool--no more wires!
The iTouch or the iPod touch seems amazing in comparison to the Zune in features and eye candy. I haven't played with it but if I had to choose, I would never touch a Zune after seeing that.
So in summary, iPod (old generation) = shit, Zune = decent, executes well, shit software bundled though, iTouch = amazing, expensive, no idea about the quality.

Everyone buys an Ipod because they were the first real MP3 player, the Zune, no one buys because everyone is so hooked on iPod. I have both and I cannot give anyone a real answer on which one is better.
Zune is good for having an MP3 player that works and has nice features. Something that gets the job done with out any big commotions.
iPod is good for showing off a stylish MP3 player that gets the job done well with little commotion, however, compared to the Zune, iPod has very few features.
I'd love to hear other peoples opinions on the matter.
