Don't let the bed bugs bite.
Unmade beds don't maintain heat as well as made beds. The lower heat does not facilitate bacteria replication like made beds. While unmade beds look messier, they are almost certainly cleaner. That, and it's easier to not make my bed.

Prior to announcing her candidacy, she moved from liberal stances on many issues to stances that would entertain the moderate vote. Among her new swing vote changes to her platform was this new stance on video games. Silly Hilly.

It is unfair that most of the jobs that seem to be a good bet fiscally tend to be ones that are hard to get passionate about. Were that liberal arts majors well paid as a rule. I'm trying to figure out how to solve this problem, too. No answers present themselves readily.

The US, the only developed nation that still teaches abstinence only education, has the highest rate of teen pregnancy and abortion among developed nations, although the number of teen births have decreased in recent years. The effectiveness of sexual education can also be measured by the number of STDs and STIs, which is increasing at faster rates than other developed nations. While teen births may be down, teens are still having sex. Something like three in five high school seniors are...

I know people who lived together without marriage that didn't make it, but I also know people who ended up divorced. Likewise, I know couples who chose cohabitation, have been living together happily for decades, and have children between them. I also know married couples who have made similar commitments. The potential and results of these relationships have nothing to do with some pieces of metal and a couple of signatures on a piece of paper, the culprits are commitment and love....

I am an atheist, but prior to reaching this point in my spiritual journey, I thought long and hard about different religions and even different sects within those religions. The theology I formed for myself was fashioned like a mountain: The peak was heaven/enlightenment/nirvana/whatever apex or finale was preached by various religions. There is not one path to the top of the mountain. Few are easy, all are varied, and all get you to the same place.

Austin Powers is obnoxious, bumbling, and ugly. James Bond is charming, smooth, smart, and hot. I should think that the answer is obvious. Daniel Craig is my #1 James Bond.

Christmas being a Federal Holiday is utilitarian. It is estimated that 80%-90% of Americans celebrate Christmas. Trying to keep offices and businesses open on a day when so many people would have taken the day off would be impossible. There are ~224 million (~76.5%) Christians in the country, add to that people who do not identify as Christian, but celebrate Christmas. There are ~1.5 million Islams (~0.5%) and ~4 million Jews (~1.3%). The people who wish to celebrate religious holidays...

Not all meat comes from places like that. If you want to eat meat from animals that were humanely raised and slaughtered, buy Kosher meat. There are options. It's not like our ancestors killed animals more humanely when they hunted them. I would think that being killed by an arrow would be a very painful experience.

There are people who have found community within these games that they could not find in face to face interactions. Yes, some people get so wrapped up in the games that their face to face relationships fall by the wayside, but who are we to hold it against them?
Posted by Maddy on 12-29-2007 in MMORPGS: Heaven or Hell?Equal health care and equal insurance coverage should be applied to BOTH physical and mental illnesses.
"Parity" is defined as "equivalence or equality" and uses the terms "same scale" and "proportionate." Parity is defined as equalizing benefits for mental health care, to bring them in line with benefits for other kinds of health care needs. Many insurers and health plans exclude or minimize benefits for psychiatric, behavioral, and substance abuse treatment. Mentally ill patients seeking treatment are discriminated against by requiring higher...

No, we can't lift as much as a man, but we can multi-task like there's no tomorrow. We can survive in the wild and in the board room. We go on functioning despite menstruating. We are at home in the boardroom, the house, the House, and the Senate. We still make $.75 to every man's dollar for the same job. We deal with double standards for expectations in family obligations, emotions, and intelligence. The deciding factor is attire, though. We can wear pants, dresses, make-up,...

Allen Iverson is the man you want. He's got the tats, the skillz, and the attitude. Tats: Awesome. Skillz: He is a consistent scorer, third in average points per game (28), behind only Micheal Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain. He has played on Olympic teams and has earned All-Star MVP honors. Attitude: Arrests, fights, getting kicked out of games. Awesome.
