Ron Paul
Hey all, I'm new here, and decided to give this thread my first post. Of course none of the candidates will be able to do everything that they say, however, I truly believe in Ron Paul's message. He's as constitutional as anyone can get. My question is, however... why would you not want to vote in someone who completely abides by the constitution, unless you do not believe the constitution and our liberties are important? I like his idea of reopening an investigation on...

Oh, and not to mention that Ron Paul is a non-interventionist, who will not keep this eternal War on Terror going. Since when should war be the first and best option for a country? Apparently Bush thinks it is. War should be the last option.

I don't believe in Censorship at all. Games, television... anything. It's fine if a channel has their own policy for censorship, but if it is a federal law, then I think that is completely wrong. Censorship is the way of tyrants.

I agree with you, Neeraja. It is certainly a duty of parents, and not of governments. I was going to say that in my previous post, but it slipped my mind. I think the problem with allowing censorship is that it can cause parents to be lazy in parenting their child. At least, that is one problem, as I see it. "Oh, I don't have to tell my child not to do certain things now, because the TV will do it for me." Not only that, but it's just one more power that a government...

I've played a lot of poker in my day, and I can tell you right now that skill is a huge part of the game. However, you do need luck at times. Even if you have bad cards for most of the game, you can still potentially win if you outsmart your opponents. The game is really about your opponents, not your cards. But sometimes it does come down to the cards, and that's when you may need to be lucky, if you ended up making an unsound decision. The whole concept of bluffing was...

It does not really matter if it is labeled as the official language. It basically is the official language, as a majority of the country speaks it. Perhaps it is not labeled as the official language, because it's so obvious that it is ;). No, just kidding. Yes, we have a lot of Spanish speakers from Mexico, but they're still a minority. In fact, our founding fathers were English speakers. So what's the big deal with this? English has always been the official language, even if...

For awhile now, the Bush Administration is trying to legalize torture. They're starting out by getting people to say that waterboarding is not torture. Now, if you go look at the history of waterboarding, you can see that it has been used by just about every tyrant, including Hitler. If you actually do your research, you will come to the conclusion that waterboarding is torture. Not physical torture, but psychological. People can die from it if it is overused, because they suffocate. It...
