Whats the point of making "The Choice?"
With a name like Batman, I am surprised you wouldn't want to bring a new girl back to your cave every night!

You can't forget about that arts! ASU's Herberger College of the Arts is a national leader in all areas of education. Specifically in the School of Art it is ranked; 3rd in Printmaking by U.S. News & World Report 5th(2nd among public institutions) in Photography by U.S. News & World Report 7th in Art Education by Art Education Review 13th(8th among public institutions) in MFA Program by U.S. News & World Report 14th(11th among public institutions)...

With the 22nd James Bond in the works and deals to produce three more Saw movies, when is enough, enough? Are sequels bad? And are you more excited about a new addition to your favorite franchise, or a fresh, innovative experience all together?

From Frankenstein foods to glowing cats, what are your thoughts on eating and creating genetically engineered plants and animals?

Inside my tiny mind, it seems that humans are one of the least valuable organisms on the planet. With the exception of domesticated plants and animals and bread-eating ducks, the world around us does not depend on us for survival. On that note, I guess our most notable value (if you can call it that) is out ability to destroy the earth like no other animal. Ground pollution, air pollution, noise pollution, deforestation, global warming, hunting to extinction, etc. Yeah...I would say...

Considering that Apple switched to using Intel based chips and Microsoft's moves to make a more user friendly OS with gadgets and other Apple inspired things, it seems that each platform is striving to be more like the other. In my opinion, in years to come the two platforms will most likely be unrecognizable from each other.
Posted by kwidge on 12-21-2007 in Windows vs. MacThis is ridiculous.
I can't believe all the ridiculous things being said to justify the human race. Treating the earth like a temporary home is absurd. The earth is more than a place of residence, it is the reason life exists. It is a living, breathing organism that is uniquely built to sustain life. If you stopped and literately smelt the roses, you would find that without all these other organisms, you would not be here. We depend on the sun and water to grow vegetation, plants and bacteria to...

I participated in a Pepsi/Coke challenge sponsored by Pepsi a few years back. They put the sodas in identical Styrofoam cups. After watching others before me I noticed that if you said the cup that contained Pepsi tasted better you won a prize. Needless to say I tasted them, picked the one that tasted like Pepsi, and told them them it tasted the best. As a result, I got a cool Pepsi logo keychain! Despite this, I prefer a cool glass of coca-cola.

"People like you hold back the progression of the human race." I disagree. Just because I care about other species except my own does not mean I am holding back the human race. Like others, I am excited and interested in new technology. As a consumer, I am constantly purchasing new mad-made invention. As an individual, I amazed at the things we accomplish. However, I feel that our progression does not make us any more valuable than any other organism. "What else,...
Posted by kwidge on 12-24-2007 in Are humans the most valuable organisms on the planet?Definition
I am enjoying this debate as well. However before we go on, I think we should define what we mean by valuable. I think there has been a lot of confusion about what we mean by valuable. Are we wondering which organism is better equipped to survive on the planet, which organism is the most capable to the continuation of life after the Earth's destruction, which organism is the essential for life on Earth, etc. Perhaps, I simply do not understand what we mean by most valuable, but...
