I agree. While there are always going to be cases where you won't be able to reconcile your love for something with your career, in most situations there is always some sort of occupation that will pay a fair amount as well as make you decently happy. If you love something to the point where you are willing to give up financial security to pursue it, then more power to you - and good luck. Personally, I couldn't ever do that. I don't believe one sex is BETTER than the other. If forced to choose, I'd probably go female (as a woman and a feminist one at that), but honestly, like the person a few posts below said, there is no need for comparison. Why should it even matter? I believe a person's merits should speak to who they are, not their gender.

Waterboarding is absolutely torture. How anyone can argue it is not is beyond me. Saying that it is an effective means of extracting information from a prisoner is like saying slitting the throats of babies is an effective method of keeping the human population in control. Does giving up your morals justify the ends in any way? Why not just throw out all the common laws of decency? It sickens me to think that there are people who believe there are situations where the torture of prisoners is...
